Below is approximate frequency of updates of various indices, along with an explanatory note. Note these are guidelines, and are not set in stone.
Nifty 50 : 4-8 times per month.
Bank Nifty : 3-6 times per month.
Nifty Pharma : 1-2 times per month.
Nifty I.T. & Nifty FMCG : 1-2 times per 1-2 months each.
Nifty Junior & Nifty Midcaps : Once per 2-4 months, or sooner if there is clarity.
S&P 500 : 1-2 times per month.
Nifty PSU Bank & CPSE ETF : Once per month.
Gold USD & MCX Gold : Once per 1-2 months.
Baltic Dry Index, Crude Oil USD, MCX Crude, Hang Seng, Dollar Index, Bitcoin, Defty : Roughly every 3 – 6 months.
Our main focus is Nifty and Bank Nifty. These are the main tradeable indices in India, and are covered with greater frequency.
Why do we give greater importance to Nifty / Bank Nifty and not cover the other indices as regularly ?
More participation tends to result in clearer elliott wave patterns.
The volume of the derivatives market in India is huge compared to the cash market. Further, in the derivatives market, 80-90% of volumes are in Nifty & Bank Nifty indices. Due to heavy participation, both short term and long term wave structures on Nifty and Bank Nifty tend to be clearer than other domestic indices which results in greater opportunities for both short term and longer term traders / investors.
The other indices usually need much more time for the waves to become clear.
Lack of clarity in wave structures or lack of value addition from the previous update are primary reasons for irregular frequency of updates. If further clarity is required, potential subscribers may click on any index menu option to see frequency of updates for a specific index.
Updates of which indices are updated / how often / and when are solely at our discretion and are subject to change without notice.
Do we post at a particular time in the day ? No. Not fixed. There are 2 ways to be notified when a post is published on the site.
- By email : Go to Subscribe / Register — Your membership. At the lower part of the page, there is an option to check the box for instant notifications. Make sure the status tab above this check box shows as “subscribed”. You will then receive an email each time a post is published.
